I had someone ask me what were the
white railings on the right side of the photo above, he thought it was a
bridge, the photo below shows what it was, the ramp was used for loading
Mt Bundy Cattle onto trains before the war.
This Google Earth shot shows where the old lines were laid, some were
removed for construction of the new Hwy.
They were also removed where the new Railway line was laid. The
X is the Adelaide River Railway Station,
the red tick is the old Loco opposite Haynes Rd
The old tracks shown are on the Western side of the Stuart Hwy, it's
only when the grass is burnt they can be easily seen.
